The bar sits fine in your hands. It's your wrists that fold.

Under a heavy press the joint wants to bend backward, and once it does the load stops travelling straight through your forearm. You feel it as a wobble at lockout, an ache the next morning, or a set you cut short because something didn't feel right overhead.

AnvilLock Wrist Wraps stop that. Anchor the thumb loop, wrap to the tension you want, lock the hook-and-loop closure. The joint holds its line and the weight goes where it's supposed to.

Built to the same standard as everything ForgeHeavy makes: over-spec'd, unfussy, and made to outlast the phase you bought them in.

AnvilLock Wrist Wraps — 21" Heavy-Duty Support with Thumb Loop (Single Wrap)
$24.99
Description

AnvilLock is a wrap-style wrist support: [XX] inches of elastic polyester webbing with a thumb loop at one end and a full-length hook-and-loop closure. You set the tension yourself, so the same pair can run loose for volume work and cinched down for a max single.

Who it's for. Anyone loading the wrist under compression — bench, overhead press, push press, front rack holds, dips, heavy carries. Also worth having if your wrists ache the day after pressing days.

How to use them well. Wraps go on tight for the set and come off between sets; leaving them cinched all session cuts circulation and teaches you nothing. Warm-ups and light work stay unwrapped — the stabilisers around the joint need loaded practice to get strong. Save the tight wrap for your top sets.

Not the same thing as lifting straps. Wraps support the wrist under pressing loads. Straps secure your grip on pulls. Different jobs, different gear — most lifters end up owning both.

One size, either wrist, four colorways. Sold individually. Most lifters wrap both wrists — add two to your cart

Specs

21" ELASTIC POLYESTER WEBBING. Enough length to wrap the joint multiple times and set your own tension — firm for max attempts, moderate for volume.

THUMB LOOP ANCHOR. Keeps the wrap from rotating or unspooling mid-set. Slip it on, wrap, then drop the loop off your thumb once the closure is set.

FULL-LENGTH HOOK-AND-LOOP CLOSURE. Locks anywhere along the wrap, not at one fixed point. On in seconds, off just as fast.

REINFORCED EDGE STITCHING. Bound edges so the webbing doesn't fray where the velcro strips off it, session after session.

ONE SIZE, EITHER WRIST. Fits men and women. No sizing chart.

70g PER WRAP. Light enough to live in your bag permanently.

FOUR COLORWAYS. Blue, red, green, orange.

SOLD AS A SINGLE WRAP. One wrap per order, so you choose one wrist or both

Solves this

The problem

Your wrists are the smallest joint carrying the biggest angle. Under a heavy press they fold backward, the bar drifts behind the line of force, and the set ends early — or ends fine and hurts tomorrow.

The mechanism

21 inches of elastic polyester, anchored by a thumb loop and locked with full-length hook-and-loop. Wrapped tight, it braces the joint against extension and keeps the forearm, wrist and bar stacked in one column.

The result

Pressing stops being a negotiation with your wrists. The joint holds its line, the load travels straight, and you finish the set thinking about the muscle instead of the ache.
